she/her
Music Therapist
Faith has a playful, client centered approach to music therapy. She meets clients where they are at and gives them a space to freely express themselves as they work towards their goals. As a newer music therapist, she brings a fresh perspective and curiosity for new experiences. She enjoys working with kids and sees value in using “play” as a therapeutic tool.

Who have you worked with as a creative arts therapist and for how long?
I have worked for Colors of Music for about 4 months now. Through CoM, I have also worked as a music therapist for Durand School for over 2 months. During my education at Temple, my practicums placements were at Broad Street Love, The Philadelphia Aphasia Community at Temple, and Widener Memorial School. My 6-7 month internship was working with patient at Temple Episcopal Hospital.
Where did you go to school, and what was one of your biggest takeaways from your education there?
I went to Temple University! During my time there, I learned to be courageous and persevere through challenges, to embrace the beauty of art-making and creating spaces for clients to do the same, and to stay curious and open-minded about new experiences and opportunities.

What's your favorite internship or practicum experience?
My favorite practicum experience was working with the Philadelphia Aphasia Community at Temple.
What are some activities you do during your sessions?
I enjoy recreative and improvisational music-making, listening to music, song writing/song parodies, and musical games.
What's a meaningful professional experience that you've had?
Becoming the music therapist for Durand School has been a very meaningful to me! Taking on the responsibility of leading music for 10 classrooms a day kept me on my toes, but has been so rewarding! I look forward to continuing my work there.
What brings you joy outside of your professional life?
I love playing video games, line-dancing with my friends, crocheting and snuggling with my cats!
